THE School Governors

Parkroyal Governors “have a clear picture of the school’s current strengths and weaknesses, and are providing school leaders with an increasingly well-informed and robust level of challenge.” (Ofsted report, 29 March 2017)

At Parkroyal, the governing board works across three teams, overseen by the chair and vice chair. The teams focus on key aspects of the school’s health: curriculum & wellbeing, finance & premises, and personnel.

Additionally, some governors have specific roles/responsibilities, eg in relation to safeguarding, pupil premium, and parent engagement.

You can view our recent governor recruitment information pack for more on being a governor at Parkroyal, and please contact our parent engagement governor, Jonathan Chadwick at, with any questions.

What if I have a complaint or want to appeal a school decision?

Please refer to the relevant procedure initially, as this will set out the correct procedure. This will usually involve first escalating a complaint/appeal through the school and headteacher, and only once you have done all this and if you are still not satisfied with the outcome, then you might need to contact Jonathan Chadwick, the chair of governors at
