2MN had a fantastic day in the woods exploring.
What a wonderful day we have had today! It really was like gardening in Uganda with this heat! Firstly in our whole school assembly we looked at at Peters Projection Map of the world and then some images of Africa. Some of the images were not at all what we expected and we were very surprised.
Then Year 4s learnt a gardening method that is about 5 times more effective that the practices we normally use in this country and they learnt about how we can reuse and recycle lots of equipment. They built 'bag gardens' which should last up to 5 years!
Year 4 showed amazing team working skills, enthusiasm and hard work all day! They are looking forward to planting the 'bag gardens' up next week.
3JB have ventured into Ronald Dahl's magical world of wonderful woodland and curious characters to find fantastic foxes and trumpsome twits.
We've created Ronald Dahl characters from leaves....
Thanks to Kirsty and Shereen at Mud Monsters for an amazing day.
Keen to follow on from the Tuesday group, the children didn't let a little thing like hail dampen their spirits.
