See what Reception Gardening Club got up to this week.
Team France had a great time at Key Stage 1's Sports Day. Thanks to all the parents for their great support....
L'equip francaise a connu le jour sportive vendredi. Merci beaucoup pour votre soutien!
Our first session of baking club was a sweet treat delight! The children followed a recipe to make sugar biscuits.
And farewell Mrs Whitham.
Year 1 performed a range of timeless songs to the rest of the infant children this afternoon....and lovely time was had by all.
We were treated to a range of favourites from all our childhoods, including 'My Grandfather's clock', 'Daddy wouldn't buy me a bow-wow' and 'Daisy, Daisy'.
As ever the performance was accompanied by props, costume and some fantastic musicians on xylophone, tamborines and triangles.
Congratulations to Year 1 for a wonderful singing and musical performance.
The performance marked the retirement of Mrs Whitham after more than four years supporting the children's singing and musical performance skills. She has single-handedly brought an ageless repetoire of songs to a new audience including 'Soldier, Soldier', 'Down in Demerera', 'Paper of pins' and 'Morningtown ride'.
Thank you Mrs Whitham for all the fun you have brought....
The children have done some exciting things for World Book Week in French this week. Early Years and read Goldilocks and The Three Bears in French.
Did you know that in the French version they have bowls of hot chocolate instead of porridge?!
Year 1 listened to French jungle songs, learnt some jungle animals in French and sang 5 little monkeys and as well as an elephant nursery rhyme in French. Year 2 learnt some French words for things in space and read The Three Little Pigs in French. Year 3 listened to sea-themed French music and practised their rhymes about fish. Year 4 practised their dictionary skills and made a French wordle about the beach and year 6 made a French wordle about cities.
