On Thursday 19th October, it was Diwali, a Hindu and Sikh Christmas. Year 6 celebrated it by creating Rangoli.
Yasmin, 6HW, taught the year group what Rangoli is. She explained that Rangoli is decorated on the entrances to Hindu and Sikh homes. They do this because they want to welcome their god Lakshmi into their homes, so that he can bring luck and love into their New Year.
'It was very relaxing to because it was intricate and required lots of detail and effort.' Anya 6HW.
Year 6 enjoyed their Rangoli session and learnt a lot!
