Tegg's Nose Country Park

Early Years had a very exciting day out exploring Tegg's Nose Country Park.  We went on a huge double decker coach and met Ranger Martin James and Tina from Nature Stuff.

They started by telling us about their jobs and showing us some tools and equipment they use.

Then we listened to some birdsong. Someone thought the first one was a frog!

Then we set off on our walk through the park.

Ranger James and Tina told us lots of facts and showed us different plants in the way round.

The bilberries weren't quite ready for picking.

After lunch, we played a Minibeast game. Can you guess our groups? Our grown-ups were very good at drawing.

Tina then showed us how to make 'Slug Soup' and we passed around a real slug. They all tried to escape!

At the end of the session, we all got a caterpillar to decorate with natural objects around us. We love nature art!
