401 Challenge

This morning 7 children (Anti bullying ambassadors and Cross Country club members) from KS2 got the opportunity to run with Ben Smith, himself a victim of childhood bullying, in the 401 challenge; Ben is running 401 marathons in 401 consecutive days all round the UK to both raise money for, and increase awareness of, two anti-bullying initiatives.  The children, joined by Mrs Morgan, Mrs Smith and Mr Dykins (Lucy and Isabel's dad), completed the first mile (four laps) of marathon number 224 on the athletics track before waving Mr Dykins and Mrs Smith off on the remaining 25.2 miles. Mrs Smith ran just under 16 miles but Mr Dykins managed the full distance, completing his first ever marathon. If anyone would like to find out more about the challenge or keep up to date on Ben's progress please visit
