The school governors met for their termly full governing board meeting. The role of the governing board is to ensure the clarity of school vision, ethos and strategic direction, holding senior leaders to account for the educational performance of our school and pupils, the performance management of staff, and overseeing the school's financial performance - making sure its money is well spent.
At the meeting we discussed, amongst other things, the structure of the board and the future recruitment of members. A letter concerning which was subsequently circulated to all parents. If you have not received this or would like to see a copy, please contact me at email@example.com.
We also discussed the work for the main governor teams (Finance & Premises, Curriculum & Wellbeing, and Personnel) and individual governors with specific responsibilities, approved relevant school policies, and received a report from Mrs Beaumont on the current work and future planning of the school.
